Harvest Assembly at Greenbank
On Tuesday 20th October, Miss Hughes arranged for Reverend Gill and Julia from Christ Church, Healey to join us for a fun and engaging Harvest Assembly with children in Years 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The children learnt about Harvest, where our food comes from and the importance of being thankful for what we have. Reverend Gill also helped the children think about how people from different religions and beliefs give thanks in different ways, including how Christians thank God for the food and world around us.
There was lots of fun and laughter along the way, with Mrs Pritchard being a very brave volunteer! We also enjoyed singing together, sharing a new Harvest song as well as one of our firm favourites with our visitors.
A huge thank you to all our wonderful families for the incredible amount of food donated to Rochdale Foodbank. Your kindness and generosity will help others in our local community, and we are so proud of the care and compassion shown by our children and families.
Thank you to Reverend Gill and Julia for making our Harvest celebration so enjoyable and memorable. 🌾🍎💚
