Applications for a school place, whether ‘starting school’ for the first time, or an in-year transfer between schools must be made directly through the Rochdale Council Admissions Team which operates an online application system.
If there are no school places at Greenbank Primary School in your child’s year group the Admissions Team also operates any waiting lists for the school.

The Governing Body has the responsibility for the allocation of Nursery places.
Applications should be made through the school office.

When places are over-subscribed the following priorities are used to allocate places:

  • First Priority – Children with exceptional medical, social or educational needs
  • Second Priority – Children with brothers or sisters in attendance at the school
  • Third Priority – Geographical proximity and ease of access to the school

If your child is in Year 6, you need to apply for a secondary school place via the council’s website for the area in which you live. The application needs to be completed by the end of October in order for the form to be processed promptly.
